About Us

Who We Are

Islam in Prison is a Division of Al-Furqaan Foundation a Nationwide Non-Profit Tax-Exempt 501 (c)3 Organization Founded in 2003 in Illinois. We are an organization exclusively serving our Muslim brothers/sisters who are incarcerated.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to serve our incarcerated Muslims by supporting them with the necessary items needed to practice Islam such as Books, Qurans, Kufi’s, Hijabs, Prayer rugs, etc. Rather it is the Muslim who reaches out to us directly or  institutional personnel, we fulfill most requests.

Our Goal

Our goal is to meet the needs of our incarcerated Muslims, while in detention, jail, or prison, but to be able to provide Post-Release support that would allow for an easy transition, not just into society, but also into the Muslim community.
